Sitting here wondering what I will do the rest of the summer now that the trustee is in Colorado until September 1st….SIGH! It sure is nice getting paid and getting to go online. I sure do love you God! But I would love you anyway.

I’ve been totally out of the loop online for the past two months. This is my “BUSY” time of the year at work. We had 92 grant requests come in between the 8th of May and the 2nd of June. Approximately 70% came in on the last three days. Deadline for submission was May 31st. I have been able to write all the requests and they have been touched at least one time by the Trustee! YEAH!

Elected on Saturday as a delegate to the Texas Democratic State Convention. I’ve never been involved in politics before so this will be interesting. I spent 12 hours on Saturday at the District 9 Meeting. At the meeting we had to re-caucus because the caucus we had on March 4th was thrown out because our Precinct Captain did not turn in the information gathered properly! I feel sorry for all the people who showed up on March 4th — there vote was totally thrown out. To learn more about Texas “Democratic” process…go here!

Watching American Idol…chilling…husband is outside working on rebuilding a transmission for our numerous vehicles! I can hardly wait until he fixes one and gives it to one of our sons so that we will only have regular vehicles and not oil leakers!!!! I may live in the city, but my husband is a redneck.

Just wanted to tell you that my husband cooked dinner last night. It was FANTASTIC! Menu: Meatloaf (made with Corn Flakes so I could have it), butter beans, corn and some awesome — I mean awesome — potato salad!!! I love it when I get pampered. He also washed the dishes!!!!

It didn’t snow here where I am, but there are over 150 closings or delays. Road conditions vary – up North terrible, South terrible, where I am – no problem. So much for the fantastic NOAA… As always — God is in control and not man!

Sitting here at work – watching the weather. Right now it is 36 degrees and the sleet/snow is getting closer. It is only raining right now, but we are under a Winter Storm Warning has been issued until 6am tomorrow morning. Snow in Dallas — in MARCH? What’s the deal – especially since a lot of the trees are already showing their flowers….SIGH…welcome to Texas

Sitting here…finished watching the cake decorating competition on the Food Network. It’s 70 degrees, raining and we are under a tornado watch. I guess it’s about time since it ’s March! Wow…Easter is coming up in three weeks…

Just sitting here with peace and quiet. My husband is on his laptop and I’m on mine. Mine is a MAC his is a PC. Hmmmm…..once you’ve had a mac you’ll never go back!

At work…got here really early. The train for Wednesday and Thursday was 7 minutes late each day. Today — it was 5 minutes early — therefore I missed the train! PHEWEE! So, had to drive in to work…bummer as I couldn’t read more of my book, “Piercing The Darkness”

After the other four dogs either disappeared (meaning they got out) or were finally picked up by the rightful owner (meaning my son) we were dog free! YEAH! Then, yesterday, my husband went and got another dog. Have to admit – she is cute. We have a new chihuahua named Abigail (we call her Abby). She is TOTALLY housebroken! YEAH! Now we need to make an appointment for Frontline and her yearly shots.

Preparing dinner – TBone, Mashed Potatoes and probably green beans or peas. I added onions and garlic to the TBone alone with ground sea salt and ground pepper. Smelling it now and I’m HUNGRY! I’m waiting on husband to get home so we can eat soon!

Woke up again at 3:00 am — what is the deal. So, decided to go ahead and get up, fix coffee and do my One Year Bible reading. Waiting on the whites to dry. I think I’ll go strip the bed and put the sheets in the washer. I’ve already done a lot of work and it’s only 4:38 am!! What is the DEAL!!!! I guess God knows that I do my best work in the morning and only really feel like preparing supper when I get home. Last night I crashed at 8:00 p.m.

Watching The Grammy’s. Had a full day at church and had lunch afterward with a dear friend. Husband is still recovering from an extraction on his tooth that took an hour and a half. It feel apart as the dentist was trying to remove. Glad tomorrow is Monday so I can go to work to REST!
