Picked up my kitty this morning – he’s already walking on the leg that he had surgery on!!! Poor thing has to wear an elizabethan collar for the next 2 weeks…but he seems to be OK!!

dropped my kitty off at the vet today – he’s having surgery tomorrow to fix a broken hip…won’t see him again til friday.

OK, OK…so I’ve been a bit uninvolved on here lately! I’m so sorry!!
so, this week, I’ve read The Atonement Child (Francine Rivers), worked with 2 sick kids and their sick mom, had our small group over for Bible study, and started preparing for an Art Party tomorrow evening. It’s been a BUSY week…and it’s only halfway through!!!

went to the museum today for the Monet to Dali exhibit. It was AMAZING!!! After that, we babysat for a group at church and had lots of fun with the kiddos!

EXHAUSTED after a long day at work. Hubby is already in bed, and will get up at least an hour before me in the morning…
Excited about church tomorrow – we are studying the miracles of Jesus during the sermon series right now. AMAZING!!!

Working from home today due to a nasty migraine last night that left me feeling exhausted and sickly this morning. Thankfully, feeling MUCH better now – still a little sleepy, but the headache is gone and I’m feeling quite productive this afternoon!

I have to admit…I’m feeling a little like a giddy school-girl again just knowing that New Kids on the Block is coming back!!!
Yes…a little dorky of me…but they’re just so darned loveable (and laughable if I go back and watch some of their old music videos!!)

found out this week that i’m going part-time next month…talking to my boss next week about how many hours/what the pay will be and what i can expect over the summer/when school starts back up. have to decide if i’m going to be job-hunting again…

had a crazy day that started at the dentist office…only to find out that my dentist doens’t take my insurance!
work was crazy, and ended up working 2 hours later than planned…
hopefully tomorrow will be better!

getting ready to eat dinner – whole wheat penne with sun-dried tomato and sweet basil sauce (with lots of meat, of course)…then going to our neighbors’ house for dessert and games! should be a great night!!

my small group just left, and dishes are done. i’m sitting on the couch, listening to the dishwasher, and the silence in the room. my tummy has not been happy with me today…but i’m used to it by now – the meds do that sometimes! haha – y’all probably think i’m turning into a druggie – seems i post about meds, being sick, etc. a LOT lately!!

spent some time tonight playing Super Mario 3 with my hubby. had a great time (and i won!!) still trying to recover from the time change this weekend – so going to bed a little early tonight to try to catch up on some sleep.

I’m getting ready to eat pizza for dinner…then will have a piece of Publix Latte Blast cake – it’s quite tasty!! Chocolate cake (possibly even dark chocolate cake) with a coffee buttercream icing….YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!! i guess after eating that, i probably shouldn’t eat ice cream too…

Had a date with my hubby tonight – our favorite local italian place…then to publix for a latte blast cake and some ice cream. it was a great night…and we got to celebrate his passing part 1 of 3 certification exams!!

Working from home today – trying to not be distracted by the kitchen (and all the food) on the other side of the wall..got my appetite back yesterday after being sick for 5 days, and we’ll just say it came back with a vengeance

toothpaste – i know, it’s a crazy thing to say I’m thankful for toothpaste…but then I think about how nasty my mouth feels when i wake up in the morning, and toothpaste is a wonderful thing!!

went to the doctor today – i don’t have the flu!!! WOO HOO!! i have a “rhinovirus” – basically a cold. how depressing that i went to the dr for a cold!! oh well…he’s given me some meds to help control the symptoms, and hopefully prevent it from turning into a sinus infection or bronchitis. he also said that this usually lasts 5-7 days…and i’ve been sick since friday, so i should be getting better SOON!!!

took a little more than the half hour i had to get ready for work this morning – kept getting interrupted by the phone, the cat, etc, etc, etc…
had an OK day – not too great…my meds make my tummy upset sometimes, and today was one of those days. feeling better now though (i think)

Had Community Group tonight – great group, lots of fun and lots of learning about the Lord together! Had taco soup and cheesecake (which i totally should have skipped – 500 calories for 1, yup…ONE SLICE!!!!) Now sitting on couch with kitty, thinking that i really should be working on some things…

just got home from work…put on comfy clothes. hubby put dinner in the oven (we’re having left over o’charley’s – mine is Caribbean Coconut Shrimp, his is Chicken Parm sandwich on ciabatta bread…
after dinner…it’s time for a nice long relaxing soak – it’s been a CRAZY day!
